CHARLES PACHTER "GOOD NIGHT TO THE ROOSTER", 1965

Charles Pachter is one of the most collected and cherished Canadian artists.  

His iconic, uplifting and patriotic images have independently earned their place in museums across the country. 

For the uninitiated, his work is accessible and beloved. While Pachter’s work shares some characteristics with Jim Dine and David Hockney, his style is resoundingly charming, singular and uniquely Canadian.  

“Good Night to the Rooster” utilizes the artist’s characteristic bold colors. Paired with expressive brushstrokes, the image is graphic and striking.
