Nevelson's work is instantly recognizable and her reputation and significance is cemented within the canon of art history, situated between Abstract Expressionism and Minimalism and Arte Povera. 

While Nevelson is known for dedication to working in black, she created a limited number of all-white works, notably her massive installations such as "Dawn Forest" or "White Column"

Most of her white sculptures were either installations or large-scale creations. "Tree of Life" is a rare and very sought-after editioned sculpture that is both intimate and impactful. Nevelson created a few benefit works for UJA and "Tree of Life" is a notable gem.
